Culture & Religion
2018-01-01edit MonIn Myanmar around 90% of the populations are Theravada Buddhist, 4% Christian, 4% Islam, 1% Hinduism and the remaining 1% are other religion. There are many pagodas, temples, stupas and monasteries in the whole country. It is very important to take note that you must follow the dress code when you go to the religious sites. These places are not allowing you to wear revealing clothes and you have to cover up your knees and shoulders, remove your shoes and socks to show respects. Women are also forbidden from specific areas of the religious sites and should avoid any physical contact with the monks. There are also many traditional festivals nearly every month in Myanmar.
