Food-Drink You don’t need to worry about the food in Myanmar because there is wide variation of restaurants, fast food shops, cafes, bakery, tea shops, etc. Some restaurants open for 24 hours. There is also many food stalls if you are into the street foods but you should aware that the hygiene standard may be low in Myanmar. You can also try the variety of local ethnic cuisines such as Rakhine, Chin, Shan, Kachin, Mon and many more. The night market along the Strand roads has many food stalls with diversity of foods which start opens from 4pm to 9pm. Tap water is not safe to drink in Myanmar and must drink bottled water. City Mart, Orange and Capital are big supermarkets and G&G, ABC and City Express are chain conveniences stores in Myanmar. They are available for 24 hours in some places.
