Miss Oui, a Thai tour guide, had setup a program to bring her Thai tourist group to the View Point beach of Sittwe so that they could see sunset of the Bay of Bengal. However, since a timetable of the airline changed immediately we arrived late in Sittwe. When we arrived at Sittwe airport, it was about 6 p.m. so we could see sunset at the airport only. Therefore, the tour guide changed the original plan and she told us that we would go to the beach when we come back from Mrauk U to Sittwe. Today we couldn’t see the sunset at the scenic View Point beach of Sittwe. They said it is very beautiful when the sun is sinking into the Bay of Bengal. Our group had 14 tourists and two Thai tour guides. Among the 14, there were 13 Thai and a Myanmar, which was me. When we arrived at the Sittwe Airport, Aung Myint, our local tour guide, came to pick us up. The View Point beach is located in Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine State, Western of Myanmar. It is about one and a half miles far from Sittwe town. There are many benches along the beach. People enjoy sitting there watching view of endless blue sea. At this place, the Kaladan River flows from the Rakhine Mountain to meet the Bay of Bengal.
