BJ café was opened in 2001. At that time, there are not so many cafés compared to nowadays. It was so famous among teenagers because of their delicious food with reasonable price. I still remember ice coffee price was 1500 Kyats and we could enjoy modernized café if you have 1500 Kyats. Now, their menu is upgraded with various kinds of delicious foods and drinks. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you live around Kyimyindine and Sanchaung, you can order food with free delivery charges. Kyimyindine branch is original one and another one is in Kamayut Township. Their menus mainly offer Chinese, Singaporean and Thai style. I recommend you to try Singapore Chicken Rice, Seafood Clay Pot Rice and Kyay Oh which are popular menus for the Cafe. Catering service and meal boxes are also available for any events and cake orders are acceptable.

A perfect first meal in Yangon

My first day in Yangon and I was craving for some something delicious and authentically oriental. There are a lot of Thai/Chinese places, but BJ is probably one of the better ones. A quick walk from the train station and right along the main drag, just look for this nice but quaint place. Inside the nice ambiance of the dining area, I sat down to a cold drink and bowls of awesome fried rice with the the most delectable sides and viands. Service was quick and the food was wonderful and very inexpensive given the quality. It's a quintessential spot that rightly earned its reputation and I left very happy.
